Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup vegan butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cane sugar
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp crushed allergy-safe candy canes
Instructions
- 1Mix the dough
Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add applesauce and vanilla and mix well.
- 2Combine dry ingredients
Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and crushed candy cane.
- 3Bake the cookies
Scoop dough onto a lined baking tray. Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes.
- 4Cool and finish
Sprinkle more crushed candy cane on top before cooling. Let cookies set on the pan for a few minutes before transferring.
