Savory Thyme Crackers
Quick, crispy homemade crackers with fresh thyme and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt. Made with just a handful of pantry staples, they're perfect alongside soups, stews, or dips.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1 tsp dried)
- 1/4 tsp salt (plus extra for sprinkling)
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 3-4 Tbsp water (adjust as needed)
Instructions
- 1Mix the dough
Preheat the oven to 375F and line a baking sheet with parchment. In a bowl, whisk together flour, thyme, and salt. Add olive oil and stir until mixture is crumbly. Gradually add water, 1 Tbsp at a time, until the dough comes together but isn't sticky.
- 2Roll and cut
Roll out dough thin (1/8 to 1/4 inch) between parchment sheets. Cut into desired shapes (squares, rectangles, or circles). Transfer to baking sheet and sprinkle lightly with salt.
- 3Bake and cool
Bake 12-15 minutes, until lightly golden and crisp at the edges. Cool completely on the baking sheet -- crackers will firm up as they cool.
